- Are we crazy? Maybe a little. Are we risking everything? Yes. Follow along with us as we start our new lives in Chile and completely reinvent ourselves as homesteading farmers in a land that is, pretty much, new to both of us. John is a Chilean citizen, by birth, and emigrated to Canada with his family at age 11. His rights as a citizen will go a long way towards making our settling here a bit easier, but the country is quite welcoming of foreigners who are willing to invest themselves too. Oh! Did I mention that we are doing all of this amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic? Yeah, there’s all that to deal with also. At the time of writing this introduction we have waited in Canada through 7 months of self-isolation and border closures and are holed up in Santiago waiting for our container of belongings and #ElGlamper to arrive.
